Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

You'll own the systems that make Penster autonomous. The Template Learning Engine that teaches itself what good healthcare marketing looks like. The Website Theme Extraction Engine that reads a clinic's brand and generates pages that match. The inference layer that connects FeedGen, AdGen, and WebGen into a single pipeline. This isn't a feature-factory role — you'll make architectural calls that define the product. Prior startup experience is mandatory. We need engineers who've shipped under real constraints, who can whiteboard a system before writing a line of code, and who see Node.js and Python as interchangeable tools — not religions.

What you'll do

• •Own and build the Template Learning Engine — the system that learns what makes healthcare creatives effective
• •Design the Website Theme Extraction Engine — reads a clinic's existing brand and generates on-brand pages
• •Build the inference layer connecting FeedGen, AdGen, and WebGen modules
• •Architect backend services and APIs across Node.js and Python
• •Whiteboard solutions before coding — we value clear thinking over fast typing
• •Make technical decisions on infrastructure, data pipelines, and system design as we scale to 1,000+ clinics

What we're looking for

• •4+ years of experience working at startups — this is mandatory, not a preference
• •Comfortable across Node.js and Python — you see languages as tools, not identities
• •Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• •Can explain complex solutions on a whiteboard before touching an IDE
• •Experience shipping production systems from scratch and owning them end-to-end
• •Thrive in ambiguity — you figure things out, not wait for specs

Nice to have

• •Experience integrating ML models into production applications
• •Background in template engines, rendering pipelines, or creative tooling
• •Previous technical lead or architect role at a startup
